Canadian Housing: Cracks in the Foundation?

In this week’s Ethos we have taken a dive into the always hot topic of real estate.   There have certainly been some cracks in the foundation of late including Home Capital’s woes and a drop in sales activity in the GTA.  Our long standing view remains it will take a recession/economic slowdown or higher bond yields to trigger an end to this cycle that started back in the early 1990s.  Still, we are seeing some signs of weakness of late that is worth noting.
