Frequently Asked Questions

01   What type of client's do you serve?

Mid-career professionals, retirees, high-net-worth individuals, small business owners, corporations and specialized clients such as entertainers, athletes and executives.

02   What account types do you offer?

Individual Pension Plans (IPP), RRSP, TFSA, RESP, RRIF, Individual Pension Plans, Estate and Corporate Accounts to name a few... through us you have access to various account types designed to meet your goals and objectives. We open these as discretionary portfolio managed accounts on a cost to service basis.

03   What does Cost to Service mean?

While some advisors charge commissions for every transaction, a Cost to Service is the cost to maintain, invest, re-balance and monitor your Portfolio Managed Accounts. Doing so aligns our goals and sets the stage for a relationship based on trust to flourish. This all starts with a through financial plan and includes detailed reporting, online access, invitations to exclusive events and more. Additionally, our Insurance and Tax & Estate Planning team is available to you at no extra cost.

04   What do you charge to manage my accounts?

For actively managed equity portfolios the cost to service ranges from 1.0% to 1.5% of total assets under management. With less active, fixed income portfolios the cost to service could be as low as 0.75%.

05   Do you have a minimum?

Ideally, investable assets between $250,000 and $1 million. This allows for a properly diversified portfolio and more importantly, gives us access to assets available only to accredited investors.

06   I don’t have the minimum. Can you still help me?

Yes. While I do help clients with less than the minimum, adherence to a structured savings plan is required in order to meet your goals. Let’s chat and discuss your concerns, goals and aspirations. The least I can do is help you find the resources you need through my knowledge and experience or my trusted circle of professionals.

07   What is it like to work with you?

If you’ve made it this far we have connected in some way. And, I encourage you to call or email, not necessarily to discuss investments but to chat about what may be on your mind or any travel plans you may have. I’m here to listen because "[ I ] have two ears and one mouth so that [ I ] can listen twice as much as [ I ] speak."
