A self-professed tax nerd, Joelle brings an experienced and analytical eye as a wealth manager and investment advisor to her interactions with clients, helping families, professionals, and business owners build lasting wealth. She’s easygoing, distilling complex and challenging decisions for clients into simple, impactful choices.
After graduating from McGill with a Bachelor of Economics, honours, Joelle attended the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management earning an MBA. She spent 18 years working as an accountant and partner at a big four tax firm before transitioning to wealth management. She joined Paula O'Brien’s team at Richardson Wealth in 2017 — In 2021, Joelle took over the practice. In addition to her MBA and chartered accountant designations, Joelle is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA).
Joelle is active in her community. She helped establish Dress for Success Ottawa in 2010 and serves on the Ottawa Board of Trade (OBOT).
Joelle enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and her three children, Derek, Sascha and Heidi, usually in a hockey arena, a soccer field or at the gym. She also enjoys cycling, cooking, wine, and European crime series on Netflix.
