As an investment advisor, Shivika brings a fresh and empathetic perspective to financial planning, nurturing long-term client relationships, empowering women investors, offering holistic and tailored advice, and creating an inclusive environment for clients from diverse backgrounds.

Shivika was drawn to financial services 15 years ago by a desire to empower others through financial literacy, break gender barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field, foster economic independence for people of different backgrounds, and make a positive impact on individuals’ financial well-being. She joined Richardson Wealth in early 2024 after spending most of her career working in leadership & Investment Planning at major Canadian financial institutions. 

Shivika has a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a Master’s in Communication from India. She holds the Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) designation. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Gujarati.

Shivika actively supports the newcomer community and works closely with immigrant societies and diverse professional clubs in Calgary. She has a passion for being involved in women’s empowerment initiatives and volunteering at local community events. She loves spending her free time reading biographies and stories about inspirational and challenging journeys and exploring diverse cultures through travel with her family.

Favourite food: Absolutely anything made by my mother.

Favourite sport: I am a cricket and tennis fan.

If I could meet anyone, past or present, it would be: After reading the Book of Joy, I would love to have a coffee with Desmond Tutu and Dalai Lama and discuss the concept of being truly joyful in life.

Favourite Destination: Bergen, Norway.

Best piece of advice for financial security: Prioritize financial literacy, diversify your investments, and have a solid financial plan that you review and reassess regularly with your professional advisor.

Eleena Swan is an estate and insurance advisor who works closely with investment advisors to deliver comprehensive insurance planning services to their clients.

She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and has developed an extensive knowledge of life and health insurance as well as complex insurance strategies. Eleena employs a dedicated, compassionate, holistic planning-based approach to assist clients with preserving their wealth so they can enjoy what they have worked so hard to build. Her dedication and compassionate approach ensures that plans are custom tailored to each client’s unique set of circumstances and delivered with a high level of care.

Eleena holds her Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter and Elder Planning Counsellor designations and is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). Her passion for the industry has led her to volunteer her time and help others. She currently volunteers with the Advocis Programs Committee, and is a past vice-president of the Board of Directors at the Houston Chamber of Commerce as well as an MDRT Foundation Canada Board Member, which is the philanthropic arm of MDRT. Eleena also maintains memberships with the Financial Advisors Association of Canada (Advocis) and the Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC).

An graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce, and is a CFA charter holder.  An has been in the investment industry for nearly twenty years and has worked for Canadian and Global financial institutions along the way.  As Vice-President, Investments Services and Proposals, An is responsible for the firm’s product research platform for public funds and manages the investment proposals and RFP process.  

An started her career on the investment custody side where she specialized in portfolio transition management dealing with Canada’s largest pension plans and investment managers.  Prior to joining Richardson Wealth, An was Vice President, Products & Services at Macquarie Private Wealth, and was responsible for the firm’s fee-based programs including the advisor managed discretionary, third party managed discretionary, and non-discretionary platforms. Prior to joining Macquarie, An was an analyst for the consulting group at CIBC Asset Management where she was part of the manager research team that was responsible for the sub-advisory relationships for over $110 billion in assets under management.  On the manager research team, she covered Canadian equity, fixed income and Global fixed income investment managers.

With a 360-degree backdrop of the investment management business, including custody, transition management, and portfolio management, An brings best practice ideas and solutions to the investment team.  As a result of her dealings with both the end client and the investment manager, An has a balanced, and disciplined perspective to investment management with a focus on portfolio implementation, on-going monitoring, and risk-management.
