Working with you

Wealth touches so many things in our lives. It’s interwoven with experience. The financial decisions made today can look completely different tomorrow because circumstances are always changing.

Our clients come to us at different stages in their lives. Some are in the top earning years of their careers, time-strapped and looking for guidance on how to protect their future. Others are navigating the emotionally and logically challenging stages of transferring wealth between generations and asking deep questions about the meaning of family legacy. In all stages, financial decisions can, at times, feel overwhelming and urgent.

We’re here to simplify your decisions by helping you understand your wealth. We’re long-term in our thinking and investment solutions, emphasizing financial literacy and empowerment above all.

Our process is deeply rooted in getting to know you on a personal level and sharing our values with you. Here’s how it works:

Discovery

The discovery stage is where we lay the foundation for our relationship. It’s about understanding you – your wants and needs, your values and ambitions, the dynamics of your family and your career. It’s not a conversation about numbers or worth, it’s about connecting with you on a deeper level and working toward a shared understanding of where we can add value.

Plan

We like to walk away from that first meeting with an idea of the big wealth questions and goals on your mind: whether that's retirement, estates, taxes, or budgeting. From there, we translate those goals and ideas into a foundational plan, collaborating closely with you to ensure every element of your wealth is accounted for. We can explore tools like insurance, tax, and estate planning alongside your financial plan and investment portfolio, modelling different scenarios and mapping out milestones. Once the plan is confirmed, we set up accounts and transfer funds.

Implement and Monitor

This is the stage where we implement your comprehensive financial plan and goal-oriented investment portfolio. We see it as the start of an ongoing conversation about you and your wealth. So much of our relationship is organic conversations. We’re here to guide you through big purchases or transitionary moments like marriage, starting a family, career changes, divorce, and retirement – any time there’s a change in your life, big or small. We work with your outside counsel and draw from our network of professionals and Richardson Wealth’s expert team of tax, estate, and insurance professionals. The result is a plan that grows with you, adapts to any change in circumstances and keeps pace with your experiences.
