Susan O’Brien partners with C-suite executives and their families to develop a cohesive plan for their net worth. Her expertise comes from her “Three I’s”, which she uses to define an overall strategy and set expectations for a successful outcome: independence, integration and implementation.

Over the past 25 years, Susan’s innovative and collaborative approach to wealth management has become nationally recognized, making her a sought-after speaker, facilitator and planner. Committed to working only in her clients’ best interests, she transitioned her practice in 2021 to Richardson Wealth, allowing her to offer fully independent advice and services.

Susan has a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Economics from the University of Toronto. Her credentials include Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®), among other designations.

Susan is the author of A New Way Forward for Wealth Management: Net Worth Thinking. She has been featured in The Globe and Mail and National Post, on CTV News and Global News, and on several podcasts.

Driven by the need to help others, Susan sits on advisory boards for the Calgary Foundation and United Way. She is a member of the CEO Advisory Council at Richardson Wealth, which provides strategic advice to the company’s executives. She is also a past member of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), a global organization of top women entrepreneurs, where she offered peer-to-peer mentoring.

Susan enjoys being active, golfing, skiing, cycling and travelling. She is a great lover of books.

Blair excels at the creation, implementation and ongoing monitoring of personalized wealth management plans for our clients. His love of the industry stems from his passion for the long-term aspect of planning and nurturing relationships with clients as their lives evolve.

Blair’s interest in financial planning was sparked by a course he took while getting his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta. He worked as a tax and estate planning consultant at a major life insurance company and gained expertise as an independent advisor at a global bank. Drawn to Susan’s high sense of integrity and family-focused practice, Blair joined the team in 2010.

In addition to his B.Comm, Blair carries an extensive number of designations including the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®).

Blair lives with his partner Laura and their daughter, Nyah. Beyond his family and working with clients, he’s passionate about golf which is one of his favourite ways to reset his focus.

A tireless advocate for financial and investment literacy and empowerment, Jodi’s expertise surrounding wealth planning, particularly amongst millennials, is an asset to The Susan O’Brien Group Wealth Advisory’s approach to multigenerational family wealth planning. Through her educative approach, she helps instill confidence in clients while ensuring every aspect of wealth is factored into the client’s plan.

Jodi has a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary where she was also the recipient of the Silver Medallion, an achievement awarded to the top-performing student in each major. While completing her degree, she was asked to tutor personal financial management at both the undergraduate and MBA levels at the University of Calgary, igniting her passion for advancing the financial education and well-being of others. Jodi honed her wealth planning and investment expertise at a major financial institution for over a decade before joining the team in 2020.

Jodi holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP®) designations and is in constant pursuit of expanding her knowledge, reading anything that’s put in front of her (besides pop culture) and devouring podcasts.

Jodi lives with her partner Christopher and their three cats. When she’s not reading, she enjoys travelling and biking.

While beginning her career in investment and securities management, Jasmine has since found her passion in financial and wealth planning. She found this niche due to her meticulous nature and her curiosity of the “what if”. Occupying a client service coordinator role within the team, Jasmine ensures administrative and operational matters are handled smoothly and efficiently to best assist clients.

Jasmine has a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance, with a specialization in Financial Services from Mount Royal University. Upon graduation, Jasmine started at Richardson Wealth in a special projects role and slowly migrated into investment and security management, and joined the Susan O’Brien Group in 2024. Having concentrated in Financial Services in university, Jasmine is working towards her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.

During this pursuit, she enjoys continuously learning and working towards expanding her industry knowledge and education to better assist clients, constantly focused on betterment in all aspects of her career. Being the first university graduate in her family, Jasmine ideology embodies the importance of empowerment, while acknowledging individual challenges. Jasmine is a strong advocate for her peers to start thinking about their financial wellness young, and to utilize the resources available through financial management firms. Ultimately, Jasmine aims to support and grow with the newest generation to enter the workforce.

Jasmine lives with her partner Andrew and can be seen outside the office staying active and spending time with friends and family.
