As a senior advisor, Tyler brings his commitment to transparent and open conversations to the portfolios he manages — an approach developed through decades of experience.
Tyler’s goal is to discover his clients’ priorities and help them realize their financial vision. He is equally committed to generational family education, often facilitating discussions within multi-generational households to establish and fine-tune family values and mission statements. He works closely with family businesses to facilitate succession planning or wealth transition, as well as finding ways to keep the lines between “family” and “business” from becoming blurred.
Tyler began his career in the financial industry in 1999. He has a BA in Economics from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. His other professional designations include Family Enterprise Advisor from the UBC Sauder School of Business, and Certified Financial Planner. He also holds a Life Insurance License.
Giving back is fundamental to his own family values. He and his team support several local charities, including the Vancouver Downtown Eastside Potluck Café Society.
Tyler’s competitive outlet is squash. Like any proud Vancouverite, he also skis hard. Above all, family is number one. He derives his greatest joy from spending time with his wife, their three young children and the family dog.
