November 2023 | Fight for Youth
The Richardson Wealth Ottawa branch is proud to be the Title Sponsor for this third installment of Fight for Youth.
On November 3, 2023, over 500 guests gathered at the Infinity Convention Centre to watch youth from the community compete in a Muay Thai fight night. Organized by the Ottawa Academy of Mixed Martial Arts, all money raised throughout the event was donated to the Fight for Youth Charitable Foundation.
Their mission is to provide financial assistance to families who cannot afford the cost of membership and equipment for martial arts. They aim to ensure that every individual, regardless of their financial background, has the opportunity to experience the benefits of martial arts.
September 2023 | BrainyActive Walk for Dementia
On September 24, 2023, members from our Ottawa branch participated in the “BrainyActive Walk for Dementia”, an annual fundraising event organized by The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
Together with their clients, Team Richardson Wealth Ottawa raised close to $4,500 for the Walk, with the branch’s sponsorship contributing an additional $5,000.
The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County provides support for everyone impacted by dementia. They are focused on reducing the stigma associated with dementia and improving the quality of life for all people affected by dementia.
May 2023 | Live Art Painting at the Ottawa Art Gallery
Our client appreciation event featured live painting, with guests invited to bid on each piece. The event raised $4,000 between the silent auction, a donation from our branch and additional donations from clients and their guests.
In recognition of Mental Awareness month, all of the event’s profits were donated to The Distress Centre of Ottawa and Region, Ottawa’s local connection to mental health support and resources.
Working within the continuum of mental health services, the Distress Centre of Ottawa and Region contributes to a healthier and safer community by providing suicide prevention, crisis intervention, psychological stabilization, emotional support, information, referral and education services, without judgement, to individuals in need.
