With a high degree of youthful energy, Marc Beauchamp focuses on advising very high net worth families and helping to managing our suite of model portfolios. He studied Economics at the Université de Quebec and then Criminology at the Université de Montréal. His true inspiration to become a broker was his father and many other family members who work in investing and finance.
Marc began his career in 1986 doing summer jobs that exposed him to every aspect of the business, from courier messenger, to manning the bond desk, to holding back-office positions. His first position as an Investment Advisor was with Brault Guy O’Brien in 1988 following the October ‘87 crash, which helped him adopt a healthy respect for risk management. Marc joined the RBC Dominion Securities in 1990; moved to Midland Walwyn in 1998, which evolved into Merrill Lynch/CIBC Wood Gundy; and then joined Richardson Wealth early in 2005. Marc earned his Portfolio Manager’s designation in January 2013 – a major career milestone. He also holds his options license. Marc is passionate about being an entrepreneur, helping people by quarterbacking their financial decisions and insuring the continuity of services to the future generations of our clients.
Marc rarely unwinds. Almost every year, he participates in the Charles Bruneau Foundation cycle to combat pediatric cancer. He and his wife have two teenaged daughters who are heavily involved in competitive skiing; Marc is involved in all aspects of ski competition as a volunteer.
