Jamie brings his considerable expertise in Portfolio Management, Alternative Asset Class development and selection, along with Capital Markets analysis and commentary, to our practice after a long and distinguished tenure as SVP Head of Investment Strategies at Richardson Wealth. In his role at MBP Sterling Partners, Jamie is further institutionalizing our portfolio management process and investment offerings to our clients. Jamie graduated from Queen’s University with an Honours BA in Economics and Geography in 1997 and started in fixed income the same year working on the Bond Desk at First Marathon Securities, which was later acquired by National Bank Financial. First Associates in 2003, which evolved into Blackmont Capital and then Macquarie Private Wealth. He was appointed Vice President, Fixed Income, in 2005 and became a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder in 2006. A year later, he was appointed Director of Fixed Income. Jamie is a CFA charterholder, licensed in derivatives and options, and has completed his Partners, Directors and Officers (PDO) course. Jamie and his wife Talei have two young children. The family like to spend time quizzing each other on math and geography and playing on the water with the kids – beach or dock.
