David’s extensive knowledge and experience in portfolio construction, RRSPs, RRIFs, and investment trading strategies may be his strength but it’s his warm, easy-going nature that has helped him build long-term relationships with clients. With nearly three decades of experience in financial services, David actively manages portfolios using both fundamental and technical analytical processes. 

Born and raised on a farm near Wynyard, Saskatchewan, David graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and a Certificate in Public Administration. After graduation, he worked at Merrill Lynch before joining Wellington West Capital as an Investment Advisor. He joined Richardson Wealth in May 2015.

David has completed the Canadian Securities Course, the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, the Professional Financial Planning Course, and the Canadian Options Course. He also holds his Level II life insurance license. 

David enjoys spending time outside of the office with his family and visits his daughters and granddaughter whenever he can. He’s heavily involved in Saskatchewan’s Ukrainian community and volunteers or sits on the board of many community organizations and events. He stays active by curling, playing golf and umpiring slow pitch. He is a music enthusiast for bands from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico who tour in Saskatchewan.

Based in Winnipeg, Chris expertly applies his accounting and legal experience to collaborate with advisors and their clients to identify wealth, and tax and estate planning opportunities. He takes a pragmatic and candid approach to helping clients meet their overall financial goals and objectives.

Chris began his professional career as an accountant in private practice at Ernst & Young LLP. After being called to the Manitoba Bar, he joined Canada Life as in-house counsel and subsequently transitioned to the role of Wealth & Tax Planning Consultant, where he spent several years working extensively with advisors providing advice to their high-net-worth clients. Chris also has experience practicing law as an estate planning and administration lawyer with one of Western Canada’s pre-eminent law firms.

Chris obtained an HBA from the Ivey Business School and a J.D. from Robson Hall Faculty of Law. He holds a CPA, CA and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Eleena Swan is an estate and insurance advisor who works closely with investment advisors to deliver comprehensive insurance planning services to their clients.

She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and has developed an extensive knowledge of life and health insurance as well as complex insurance strategies. Eleena employs a dedicated, compassionate, holistic planning-based approach to assist clients with preserving their wealth so they can enjoy what they have worked so hard to build. Her dedication and compassionate approach ensures that plans are custom tailored to each client’s unique set of circumstances and delivered with a high level of care.

Eleena holds her Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter and Elder Planning Counsellor designations and is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). Her passion for the industry has led her to volunteer her time and help others. She currently volunteers with the Advocis Programs Committee, and is a past vice-president of the Board of Directors at the Houston Chamber of Commerce as well as an MDRT Foundation Canada Board Member, which is the philanthropic arm of MDRT. Eleena also maintains memberships with the Financial Advisors Association of Canada (Advocis) and the Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC).
