As a wealth advisor, former corporate executive and award-winning finance professor at Canada’s top business schools, Anwar brings over 35 years of experience and a thoughtful, analytical approach to helping clients make confident financial decisions. He’s a sought-after educator, teaching at Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business, McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business, and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. He has also been a guest lecturer at McGill University’s MBA program.
His path to wealth management is rooted in a diverse and accomplished financial career. After earning a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto (with distinction), his Chartered Accountant designation and an MBA from Ivey Business School, Anwar held senior roles in audit, corporate finance, and M&A at firms including KPMG, BCE Canada, and X.eye Inc. In 2003, he transitioned to wealth management, where he found he could apply his skills more directly to impact the lives of individuals and families.
Anwar combines technical expertise with a genuine interest in impacting clients' lives — qualities that have earned him long-standing relationships and trust from his select group of clients.
Outside the office, Anwar enjoys time with his family, travelling, and watching films. A lifelong learner, he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in history at Harvard.
