Walter and Garreth have combined experience of more than 50 years working with high net worth individuals, trusts and pension plans. They joined Macquarie Private Wealth in 2011, which was acquired by Richardson Wealth in 2013, where they provide their clients with a wide universe of investment options within an open architecture environment. They operate on a discretionary, fee-only basis.Walter graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1980 with a Bachelors degree in Economics and became a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute in 1984. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1986.
Garreth earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Waterloo in 1989. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1991 and was accredited as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) by the Association in Amherst, Maryland in 2011.
Both Garreth and Walter have been active in various community charities, foundations and boards. Walter has served as a member of the Robarts Council and is a former member of the Board of Governors of Trinity College School in Port Hope. Walter has also been an active member of fundraising committees for the Toronto Community Foundation, the SickKids Foundation and the Arthritis Foundation. Garreth was involved with the Volunteer Action Centre of Kitchener and the United Way Allocation Committee. He also served as the Treasurer of the Guelph Spring Festival.
