As a Portfolio Manager, I am allowed to manage client assets without having to spend my time selling my recommendations. This means I can always do what is best for the client without delay. My goal is to meet the mutually agreed upon asset, return and risk objectives that we have set. I have access to traditional and innovative wealth management solutions, top-ranked research, and superior trade execution—plus the recognized financial strength and expertise that comes from being Canada’s largest independent wealth management firm.
Prior to entering the investment industry, I spent 19 years in the manufacturing business, rising to Vice President and General Manager of Noma Inc. (a prominent Canadian public company). My first three years advising private clients were with ScotiaMcLeod. I then moved to First Associates as a Director and Vice President, where I spent three years. I resigned in 2004 to build up my own advisory business at Wellington West; which was subsequently taken over by National Bank. One year later I joined Macquarie Private Wealth which was then acquired by Richardson Wealth (formerly Richardson GMP).
