Mathis’ client-focused approach helps his clients to invest in themselves and their future. He advocates for an investment strategy that is based on each client’s unique life situation, objectives and risk tolerance. Taking the time to understand their circumstances, he guides them through important life transitions such as retirement and business changes. Life can sometimes take an unexpected turn; Mathis supports his clients through their financial transitions with confidence.

The team of experts at Richardson Wealth recognizes the importance of financial planning and leverages its My NextGen Plan technology to create peace of mind for clients. Investment strategy is critical to overall financial well-being. Mathis carefully builds and maintains clients’ investment portfolios objectives with highly regarded research and trading technology. Recognizing that life doesn’t stand still, Mathis regularly reviews changes to his clients’ personal and financial situations.

Prior to joining Richardson Wealth in 2024, Mathis worked 10 years for an independent wealth management firm in Vancouver. Mathis is a Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor with a Chartered Investment Manager® designation.

Originally from Düsseldorf, Germany, Mathis moved to Canada in 2008 to attend Simon Fraser University where he completed his B.A. in Economics and competed for the school’s NCAA American football team. His adopted home is North Vancouver, where he enjoys an active lifestyle.

Located in the Vancouver office of Richardson Wealth, Chris rounds out the Tax & Estate Planning team’s coast-to-coast support of Richardson Wealth’s Investment Advisors and their clients. Drawing upon the collective knowledge and experience of the Tax & Estate Planning team, he works closely with Investment Advisors to deliver comprehensive wealth planning services covering tax, financial, estate, insurance and investment planning needs to their clients.

With his engineering and corporate planning experience coupled with over two decades in the financial services sector, Chris brings his passion to the table in delivering comprehensive wealth planning solutions. Relishing the challenges brought forth by ever-changing tax and regulatory environments, he creates comprehensive, understandable, and practical solutions for our clients’ diverse financial needs.

Chris is a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner and has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) and the Canadian Investment Funds Course (IFIC). Chris has also completed certification (with honours) in the area of personal tax review and preparation.

Eleena Swan is an estate and insurance advisor who works closely with investment advisors to deliver comprehensive insurance planning services to their clients.

She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and has developed an extensive knowledge of life and health insurance as well as complex insurance strategies. Eleena employs a dedicated, compassionate, holistic planning-based approach to assist clients with preserving their wealth so they can enjoy what they have worked so hard to build. Her dedication and compassionate approach ensures that plans are custom tailored to each client’s unique set of circumstances and delivered with a high level of care.

Eleena holds her Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter and Elder Planning Counsellor designations and is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). Her passion for the industry has led her to volunteer her time and help others. She currently volunteers with the Advocis Programs Committee, and is a past vice-president of the Board of Directors at the Houston Chamber of Commerce as well as an MDRT Foundation Canada Board Member, which is the philanthropic arm of MDRT. Eleena also maintains memberships with the Financial Advisors Association of Canada (Advocis) and the Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC).
