Paul W. Holmes MPA, CIM, CFP®

Senior Portfolio Manager, Senior Investment Advisor

person

As a senior portfolio manager and senior investment advisor, Paul combines 30 years of experience and a deep interest in the capital markets with his empathetic approach to guiding clients. He's genuinely interested in his clients’ financial well-being and it shows in the level of trust and confidence his clients have in him.

Paul’s introduction to the financial industry is unconventional. After graduating from Carleton University with a Master’s in Public Administration, Paul pursued a role at the Treasury Board of Canada, exploring his interest in economics and public finance. But something was missing – Paul wanted to have a deeper impact on people and the places where their lives and finances intersect. He pivoted, taking a role at a physician-focused wealth management firm before joining a major bank. He’s spent the last 30 years building long-term relationships with a select client base. He joined Richardson Wealth in 2024.

Licensed as a discretionary portfolio manager, Paul has his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designations.

When he’s not meeting clients or researching stocks, Paul enjoys squash, yoga, hiking, fly fishing, and skiing. Along with his wife and two children, Paul supports charities including Power To Be, Victoria Hospitals Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society and The War Amps.
