It is estimated that approximately 25% of Canadians are helping a senior friend or family member with care in one form or another. These caregivers contribute an estimate $25 Billion in unpaid labor cost to the Canadian health system. This presentation will challenge the misconception that accepting help leads to a loss of independence. We will examine different stages of caregiving and issues involved in each.

About our guest speaker
Tina started in the Senior Living industry 13 years ago and has worked with a handful of National companies. She has been with a local organization the past 7 years, The Manor Village Life Centers. Her passion for business and helping seniors has prompted her success in opening 5 new seniors communities and supporting those that are struggling.
Tina is currently launching the Manor’s newest development in Currie Barracks called Currie Green (431 suites - opening summer 2023!) Over the years she has also helped develop numerous programs to enhance the lifestyle experience for residents.
It gives Tina great joy guiding seniors and their loved ones through the journey of finding a new home that suits their growing needs!
We are very pleased to offer this presentation which is filled with useful and practical information about this very important topic. A Helping Hand is often delivered by more than one person close to the friend or family member, with this in mind, we have tailored the presentation to benefit not only those who may be in need, but those in a caregiving or support role as well. Attendees will also receive a copy of our Caregivers Handbook after the presentation.
