Two decades into his career, Michael is still driven by the impact his approach to wealth planning and portfolio management has on clients’ lives and seeing that impact compound as they move through milestones.
A native Calgarian, Michael graduated from Western University with a degree in psychology but quickly decided he wanted to be in the investment industry. Taking a post at an independent boutique investment firm in 2002, he progressed in his career from fielding stock quote phone calls to building relationships with clients. He joined Richardson Wealth in 2011 and earned the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation in 2013, qualifying him as a Portfolio Manager, entitling him to offer premium fully managed discretionary account services to his clients.
Away from the office, Michael enjoys spending his time with his wife Samantha and his two young daughters Hailey and Addison. An avid squash player since he was six years old, Michael is heavily involved in the squash community, competing at the national level and sponsoring competitions. He also stays active by playing tennis, golf and skiing and is a past volunteer instructor for the Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing.
