Alan started his dream career in 1998. Setting financial goals for clients and finding ways to reach them are the reasons he continues to enjoy his role immensely to this day.
His father, a retired Chartered Accountant (the financial advisor of the time), helped families and small businesses during his career. He provided Alan with a conservative nature, and the ability to have a caring ear when providing financial advice. This outlook forms the foundation for the advisory practice that Alan has built.
Receiving his Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation in 2001, he immediately began building an advice-based, wealth management approach in helping families to succeed in their financial goals. For several years afterwards, he strived on his own to find investments that could truly meet client needs.
Soon he realized that he must focus on the family aspect of the business since every family is different! This led him to form a partnership so that he could focus on the people, while his business partner focused on the customized investments. This key step truly enabled him to focus his time on what he loves most, meeting with clients to discover their unique financial goals and matching those goals with the right investments for them.
Alan has the highest confidence that the team he has formed provides truly innovative and exceptional advice to families, corporations, and endowments. In finance, experience is the greatest asset for high quality advice.
The other important team in his life is at home with his family. With his wife Trish, and his three children, together they enjoy skiing, golf, and travel.
