Wynn Harvey is a Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor for the Wynn Harvey Wealth Counsel team at Richardson Wealth Limited. Wynn began her career in finance as a commercial lender with TD Bank. She then joined Canada Trust, where she took the trust officer training program. That gave her a solid background into the mechanics of wealth planning for high-net-worth investors, including multi-jurisdiction/cross border investors, business owners and wealthy multi-generational families.

Wynn’s motivation for moving into investment management was a strong desire to help people, especially those experiencing major life transitions that are all too common and yet unique for each individual and family. Throughout her career, she has developed strong interpersonal skills and takes a detailed approach that gives her insight into affluent families’ issues. She works closely with them to help them understand the challenges brought on by age and stage.

Wynn and her team specialize in Lifestyle Spend Analysis. It begins by determining how much clients spend through the various phases of their life. They use after-tax spending to establish the withdrawal rate on financial assets, and see how this affects whether net worth is drawn down over time. Legacy planning is also a key factor. That process includes tax and estate professionals, and a client’s other advisors, to provide consistent and coordinated advice with timely implementation.

Wynn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has earned the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA) and Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist (CFDS) designations, and holds her Level II Life License.

Michelle joined the team in 2020. Her role is constantly evolving. Working closely with Wynn, she leads the team’s business development strategy and coordinates marketing and appreciation initiatives. Michelle provides due diligence on investments and maintains close relationships with our core investment management teams. Being organized by nature, Michelle researches and implements new technologies to increase process efficiency and automation and to optimize and streamline day-to-day activities so we can focus on our clients and their families.

With over 20 years of experience in the investment industry in Investment Advisor/Associate roles, she is an IIROC licensed Registered Representative and a holder of the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.

Mike is responsible for preparing annual performance reviews, investment proposals and execution of investment strategies. Mike’s project management skills are exemplified during tax time when he prepares personalized tax folders to assist clients in staying organized with essential tax filing information. He coordinates with client accountants to ensure all necessary information is captured, answers year-end tax inquires and investigates and resolves accounting issues. Mike sets up and maintains client online account services.

Craig Basinger is the Chief Market Strategist at Purpose Investments. With over 25 years of investment experience, Craig combines an educational foundation in economics & psychology with years of experience in both fundamental and quantitative research. A long term student of the markets, Craig’s thoughts and insights can be seen in Market Ethos publications and is a regular contributor on BNN. 

Craig and his team bring a transparent and cost efficient approach to investment management. The team provides asset allocation OCIO services and directly manages over $1 billion in assets. The team manages dividend mandates, quantitative risk reduction strategies and asset allocation services.
