Drawing from 15 years of experience in the finance industry, Steve works alongside private clients and institutional investors with over $5 million in assets to build diversified portfolios. Solid financial principles and long-term strategies have always formed the bedrock for everything he does. And through that, Steve’s built a reputation for his sharp decision-making and comprehensive approach to planning, encompassing everything from tax and estate to retirement savings strategies, alternative investments and private equity.

Calgary-born, Steve was drawn to investing at an early age and went on to study finance and economics in university. After a brief stint in investment banking, he found his passion for portfolio management, earning his CIM® designation.

When he’s not working with clients, Steve likes to spend his time skiing, golfing, and playing hockey. He coaches high school football and makes time to volunteer at The Calgary Food Bank.

Maureen works with Investment Advisory Teams and their affluent clients to navigate the entire wealth planning process; from initial discovery with the client, through to the final presentation. She is a dynamic speaker who can translate complex wealth planning concepts into efficient and effective action plans for clients. This holistic approach combined with her financial planning expertise offers a unique and practical perspective to retirement, trust, and estate planning.

Maureen joined the firm in 2006 and moved to the Tax & Estate Planning team in early 2010. The previous 20 years of her career were focused in the Life and Health Insurance Industry where she gained significant experience as a Financial Services Advisor, Mutual Fund Salesperson and as a product, sales, software and compliance trainer.

Maureen is a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. She has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) and the Canadian Investment Funds Course (IFIC). She also holds the designation of Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and other insurance designations from the Life Office Management Association (LOMA).

An graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce, and is a CFA charter holder.  An has been in the investment industry for nearly twenty years and has worked for Canadian and Global financial institutions along the way.  As Vice-President, Investments Services and Proposals, An is responsible for the firm’s product research platform for public funds and manages the investment proposals and RFP process.  

An started her career on the investment custody side where she specialized in portfolio transition management dealing with Canada’s largest pension plans and investment managers.  Prior to joining Richardson Wealth, An was Vice President, Products & Services at Macquarie Private Wealth, and was responsible for the firm’s fee-based programs including the advisor managed discretionary, third party managed discretionary, and non-discretionary platforms. Prior to joining Macquarie, An was an analyst for the consulting group at CIBC Asset Management where she was part of the manager research team that was responsible for the sub-advisory relationships for over $110 billion in assets under management.  On the manager research team, she covered Canadian equity, fixed income and Global fixed income investment managers.

With a 360-degree backdrop of the investment management business, including custody, transition management, and portfolio management, An brings best practice ideas and solutions to the investment team.  As a result of her dealings with both the end client and the investment manager, An has a balanced, and disciplined perspective to investment management with a focus on portfolio implementation, on-going monitoring, and risk-management.

Julia Best is an Estate & Insurance Advisor with Richardson Wealth. She began her career in insurance with London Life eight years ago, working primarily with young professionals and families. Since then, she has focused on values-based risk management, helping individuals, families, and businesses make confident financial security decisions – especially those in unique tax scenarios.

Julia is committed to constantly learning and evolving in the field of insurance and financial advice. She is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP). Julia is also experienced in the family enterprise space, having completing level 1 of the Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designation, and regularly facilitating family meetings. Julia and her partner, Mathieu, enjoy spending time in the mountains, cycling, and experiencing Calgary’s diverse dining culture.

Matthew seamlessly works with advisory teams and their clients to help them optimize specific financial situations. Through his detailed and thorough approach, Matthew enjoys helping clients through the financial planning process. By identifying specific goals, he formulates an action plan on how to get there, in conjunction with all other aspects of their financial picture. This holistic view provides clients with the peace of mind that their finances are handled in the most professional manner. Working closely with other Richardson Wealth team members, the personalized solutions presented are comprehensive, detailed, and free from bias.

Matthew will be relocating from B.C. to Calgary in the very near future and will become one of our valued team members in the Alberta region. He began his financial planning career in 2013, starting at T.E. Wealth, and has been catering to the specific needs of high-net-worth families and individuals since. He has progressed through various positions at banking institutions, as well as private practice, in British Columbia, before becoming part of the Richardson Wealth team in 2021.

In addition to being a Certified Financial Planner practitioner (CFP®), Matthew has also completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Diploma of Technology (Personal Financial Planning) from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. This is in addition to previously holding various investment and insurance licenses, while currently working on future designations.

Located in the Calgary office, Lyndsay works closely with Investment Advisors to deliver comprehensive financial plans and wealth solutions to their clients. Connecting with people is easy for Lyndsay and helps her provide a balanced perspective when addressing clients’ financial planning needs. She makes the journey just as important as the destination.

Lyndsay has been in the financial industry since 2006. Most recently working with investment advisors at a large bank, she brings over 12 years of experience in retirement, tax and estate planning for high net worth families.

Lyndsay completed her Bachelor of Applied Financial Services with Mount Royal University and her Certified Financial Planner® designation with the Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC). Lyndsay has also completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) and Life License Qualification Program (LLQP). In 2021, Lyndsay successfully completed her certification as a Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist (CFDS)
