Tips and Tricks: MyRichardsonWealth App for iPhone or Android

Our website has been optimized for smart phones, but we do get asked now and then “When will you have an app?”. Turns out, developing and maintaining an app is unnecessary these days when you use a little trick that gives similar functionality to users: adding to Home Screen.

This was new to us, so forgive us if it’s not to you. We think you’ll find that it gives the convenience you are looking for from an app but removes the need for ongoing tweaking of separate Apple and Android apps with every IOS update or device update.

The steps are:

  1. On an iPhone, navigate to MyRichardsonWealth.com in your browser.
  2. Touch the square with the up arrow  and choose “Add to Home Screen”.
  3. The home page will become an extra icon (as if it was an app) on your phone.

On a PC, the process is similar, but the jargon is “Adding an App” rather than “Add to Home Screen”.

Because of this trick and the costs associated with developing and maintaining separate apps as well as the website, there are no plans for Richardson Wealth to create standalone apps for Apple or Android. And really, no need!

The 2023 tax season is upon us!

If you held non-registered assets with Richardson Wealth in 2023, you will most likely have received a 2023 Tax Document Checklist and started to receive various T5s, T3s, T5008s, and more. The majority of slips will be mailed, but some Richardson Wealth documents are available on your Richardson Wealth online account portal, if you selected to receive tax documents electronically.

A reminder of a few items:

  • Please use the Tax Document Checklist to ensure you have all the necessary slips before filing your tax return.
  • You will need to wait for the Trading Disposition Summary, to determine any gains or losses.
  • Lastly, not all of the mutual fund company names on the Tax Document Checklist match the names on the slips you receive. Some examples include:
Checklist Tax slip
Robson Capital T3 Rise Properties Trust or
Revesco Properties Trust
Robson Capital T5 Regimen Equity Partners
Robson Capital T5013 Regimen Equity Partners
Timbercreek T3 Four Quadrant
Bridgehouse T3 Brandes
CIBC T5 Renaissance

As always, we are here to assist with any questions you may have.
