Blake Dalton CFA
Portfolio Manager, Investment Advisor

Blake has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry meticulously overseeing the diverse investment, wealth management, insurance, estate planning and retirement needs of affluent Canadian families. Through many economic cycles and periods of market uncertainty Blake has provided his clients with consistent and carefully researched advice and helped them manage the emotions that can be detrimental to investor success.

Blake specializes in providing customized solutions for professionals in Auditing, Accounting and M&A Advisory businesses. Blake embraces Partners’ complex personal wealth circumstances, customizing unique investment portfolios to comply with their Independence restrictions. With streamlined advice and processes that are focused on Partners, Blake reduces the frustrations and challenges his clients face with their wealth management.

Blake has a degree in Economics and English from Queen’s University, and in 1997 earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, widely considered the hallmark of excellence and the highest distinction in the investment industry. When he’s away from the office, Blake enjoys relaxing at the cottage with his family, playing tennis, practicing the trumpet, and indulging his passion as a wood-fired pizza master.

Katharine Dalton CFA, MBA

Katharine’s commitment is to provide Dalton Investment Partners with insightful and customized portfolio analysis that is the foundation of a successful investment strategy. Her proprietary research enables Dalton Investment Partners to provide unbiased investment advice and recommend investments that are tailored to suit our clients’ unique personal and professional needs. 

Katharine is a dedicated portfolio manager with 20 years’ experience in equity research for institutional clients as well as high net worth individuals. Katharine built her reputation on Bay Street at a leading global investment firm as an astute and passionate analyst who combined in-depth knowledge of companies with macro themes. She has access to a wide range of resources and industry contacts that enhance her rigorous analysis of industry trends, company strategies, valuations, and management teams, to provide superior investment recommendations solely for our clients.

Katharine has a B.Comm. from Queen's University and obtained her MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. She also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1997. 

Katharine’s analytical skills and dedication solely to our clients and their unique constraints represents a meaningful advantage to our team and distinguishes Dalton Investment Partners from other advisors. 

Katharine is enthusiastic about building a strong foundation of financial literacy in children. She volunteers with Junior Achievement, a world-recognized leader in the delivery of business education for young people, and she is also a mentor to university students. Katharine is a member of Women in Capital Markets.

Sharon Dammann
Associate

Sharon is instrumental in providing superior service and administrative management for our clients. Her enthusiasm, people skills, proactive attitude and 20 years of industry experience make Sharon a valuable resource to clients and an essential component of the team. Sharon manages all aspects of the business administration, including client enquiries about completing forms, transfers, deposits and account maintenance, and provides assistance that is friendly, fast and efficient. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Management, a Business Administration Diploma, and has completed the Canadian Securities Course and Wealth Management Essentials. Sharon is involved with several charities, including Canadian Cancer Society and Juvenile Diabetes. 

Jason Middleton CFP®

Jason has a well-rounded knowledge of the Insurance industry having worked at all levels of the business. He has worked at the manufacturer level, at the distributor level and, most importantly, as an Independent Insurance Broker and business owner.

Jason’s financial and accounting backgrounds allow him to take a comprehensive approach to advanced Estate and Insurance planning for clients. His ‘educate first’ approach resonates well with clients, who feel that his solution-based recommendations are tailored to their individual needs.

Jason earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors in Accounting and Corporate Finance in 1999 from the University of New Brunswick. He began working on his CA (Chartered Accountant) with Deloitte and Touche in 2001 after taking a sabbatical to train and try out for the Canadian Olympic Swim Team. Upon returning to the work force Jason completed the CSC (Canadian Securities Course) and earned his CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation in 2003.

Sylvia Azoulay TEP

Sylvia works closely with Investment Advisors and their clients to explore and identify issues that address clients’ overall wealth planning needs. She helps clients formulate objectives, understand issues and strategies and facilitates implementation of their goals. Sylvia understands the sensitive issues relating to family dynamics and wealth transfer.

Sylvia is an estate planning lawyer with many years of experience. Prior to joining Richardson Wealth, she was a principal in her own strategic wealth planning firm and also spent many years in the financial industry dealing with wealth planning solutions for high net worth clients.

Sylvia has been an instructor at Humber College School of Business and at the Bar Admission course at the Law Society of Upper Canada. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Estate Planning Council of Toronto. She is a seasoned presenter on topics of importance to high net worth families.

Sean Hsu CPA (New Hampshire), MTax, TEP

Sean collaborates with advisory teams and their clients to develop wealth planning strategies and to deliver integrated solutions addressing their unique needs.

Sean is an accountant with experience in Canadian and U.S. tax planning for high-net-worth individuals, with a focus on integrated cross-border wealth, estate, and trust matters. Before joining Richardson Wealth, Sean was at a multi-national accounting firm practicing in the private client group.

Sean participates in the development of thought leadership content delivered by our Tax & Estate Planning team. He has appeared in The Globe and Mail and has authored and contributed to several articles for BorderCrossings, a Thomson Reuters publication with insightful commentary on crossborder issues faced by Canadians and U.S. citizens. He is also a facilitator in the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program.

Sean is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and holds a Master of Taxation from the University of Waterloo.
